Dawn at Crater Lake
After managing to survive another night of near freezing temperature (Crater Lake is at a fairly altitude) in my very non-winter sleeping bag and tent, I got up at 4:30am and hiked my extremely cold and tired butt about 1.5 km up a very large hill to the fire watch lookout station for the Crater Lake area. I got to the top of the hill at 5:30am, just in time to catch the first glimpses of light as the sun started to rise. It was totally worth all the effort!
